Our events provide an opportunity for our neighbors to experience the Edible Schoolyard. Learn more below about our events and mark your calendars to join us.
As a nonprofit organization, we depend on donations and sponsorships from our community to help support our educational ecosystem. Additionally, we hold events to include the community in our garden experience and help raise funds to support our efforts. We invite all to join us at our annual events listed below!

Help us support edible education in Kern County and provide scholarships for students in Arvin and Shafter to attend ESYKC 2024 Summer Camps. Every penny from this event will play a crucial role in empowering children from disadvantaged communities with essential edible education.
Come together with fellow food enthusiasts, local businesses, sponsors and partners to Toast & Taste the season. Be captivated by live music by Moonshiner Collective, connect with like-minded individuals and foster a sense of community as we showcase the finest locally sourced and grown foods from Kern County.
Together, we can improve the academic, social and emotional well-being of students and their families. Your participation will make a difference, and we look forward to having you with us!

Spring Plant Sale
At our annual Spring Plant Sale we welcome the community into our edible garden to purchase plants for your home and support edible education in our community.
Spring is the ideal time to plant a home garden. Our Annual Spring Plant Sale has become a signature community event that marks the beginning of the season.

During the plant sale, you’ll have the opportunity to see our working garden and experience how our students and campers learn about the seed-to-table cycle.
Browse through dozens of different vegetables, herbs and flowers that are ready to be transplanted at your home. Our staff of Garden and Kitchen Educators are also available to help you understand the basics of gardening.
